The
Music
Lounge

The room most people don't realize they're looking for.

June 20  ·  Santa Cruz, CA

01

An Intentionally Designed Room.

Something is missing in our daily socializing and interactions.

Most people are surrounded by others but still feel isolated. We want to have real moments with people. We want to slow down and tap in but there aren't any places designed to create these opportunities or hold that consciousness.

Music can be a bridge to connection. When it's not just background or entertainment, it can be a window into what's alive inside another person — to what's shared between your world and theirs.

That's what this room is built around. Not a concert. A music-guided experience where genuine human contact is the design.

It's all in how you enter it.

Ask someone what they've been listening to and you get a playlist. Give them a specific prompt — a moment they felt free, a period of life that shaped them — and something different happens. They stop thinking about music and start remembering a feeling. A version of themselves. A moment that still means something.

That's the entry point. The music is just the door.

Curation over capacity.

For everyone to have real time to share and be heard, the group has to be small and curated for cohesion. Who's in the room determines what's possible in it.

02

This room might be for you

Bars are built for drinking. Concerts for watching, networking events for transacting. Even our closest social circles can fall into the same loops — familiar, comfortable, but rarely deep.

So the hunger stays. And most people assume it's just them. It isn't.

This is for…
People who want real conversation but rarely find the right container for it
People for whom music has always meant something, even if they've never said it out loud
People curious about what becomes possible when strangers slow down together with intention
You're down to go deep, but also have fun listening, sharing and dancing

Before you arrive

Think of a moment when you felt free — not performing, not managing how you were being perceived. What 2–3 songs were the soundtrack of that moment or period of life?

Also submit: one song that always makes you want to get up and dance. No explanation needed — just the one.

Submit all songs no later than 48hrs before the event. They become the room's playlist.

How the evening moves

You leave having moved through something — not just attended something.

01
Arrival
You walk into an intentional space. Introductions are a chance to create recognition and settle in.
02
Softening
Brief breathwork. An invitation to set down whatever the day handed you.
03
Recognition
The unified playlist is shared the morning of the event. Fifteen people's songs, side by side. This is our terrain for exploration.
04
Resonance
We listen together. Jeremy guides the group into active, embodied listening.
05
Reflection
We go deeper into what individual songs bring up. Throughlines emerge. You see how closely connected you are to people you just met.
06
Expression
Name something that shifted. A point of connection that exists now that didn't before.
07
Release
Take those intentions to the floor. Movement as prayer. What arose in the room finds its way into or out of your body.
08
Integration
Jeremy closes with a short set curated for the emotional temperature of this particular room, on this particular night.
